What is a Pop Parable?
It’s a story, an allegory, a depiction of God’s truth spoken through a narrative in the form of a song, book, television show, movie, pop culture, or just my every day life.
In the Bible, Jesus often spoke to the masses in stories {parables}. He used this form of teaching as a kind of code. For those who believed He was the Son of God, the parables were truth in action. They were instructions as to how they could live out their faith. To those who didn’t believe that Jesus was the Messiah, the parables were simple stories.
I have found that it’s often in my daily routine that God’s Truth is revealed to me in parables, only they’re modern parables.
